Coca Cola ritorna ad essere la marca n°1 al mondo, secondo la classifica annuale di Harris Poll pubblicata di recente.

Harris Poll: Coca Cola now tops among brands

Coca Cola is the new No. 1 best brand, according to the annual Harris Poll released recently. This is the first time in seven years Sony has dropped from No. 1 in the poll. Sony now ranks No. 2. Last year, Coca Cola was ranked No. 3. Toyota moved from the fourth position to No. 3. Dell, dropped two spots to No. 4.

The other spots are held by Ford (No. 5), Kraft Foods (No. 6) and Pepsi Cola (No. 7). Microsoft came in at No. 8, Apple at No. 9 and Honda rounding out the list at No. 10.

The 2007 Top-10 list is fairly similar to last year’s. The most noticeable changes are Honda, which fell from No. 6 to No. 10 and Kraft Foods which went from No. 9 to No. 6. Only four of the brands, Ford, Sony, Coca-Cola and Pepsi Cola were on the list 10 years ago.

All of the brands on the list come from three industries: Four of the companies are from the electronic industry, while three are each from autos, and three from consumer and package goods.

“Top of mind association with being ‘best’ is a good position for any brand,” Robert Fronk, senior vice president, brand and strategy consulting, Harris Interactive, said in a release. “For a truly successful brand relationship though, the objective is not just awareness but to foster the ongoing process and outcome of brand engagement, which requires more custom and sophisticated measures based upon the interaction of the brand and its desired audience.”

The results are from a nationwide Harris Poll of 2,372 U.S. adults surveyed online by Harris Interactive in June. Survey responses were unaided, and a list of brand names was not presented to respondents.
